How to play
Build a joker lineup. The ladder plays it for you.
Koilatro scores poker hands like Balatro. Your team builds one entry, a lineup of Jokers plus a play plan, and every 5 minutes the server plays it against the other teams. You never play a hand yourself.
Chips and Mult
Every hand you play scores Chips × Mult.
Chips×Mult=Score
Chips are the base points. A poker hand starts with its own chips, then each card that scores adds its value (2–10 face value, J Q K 10, Ace 11).
Mult is the multiplier those chips are multiplied by. Every poker hand has a base Mult, and Jokers can raise it.
Example: a Pair of Kings starts at 10 chips and ×2 mult. The two Kings add +20, so you have 30 × 2 = 60. A Joker that adds +4 Mult makes it 30 × 6 = 180.
Jokers
Jokers bend the score. They fire left to right, so the order of your lineup matters.
+Chips
Adds to the chips. Small and steady.
+Mult
Adds to the Mult. This is where most of your score comes from.
× Mult
Multiplies the Mult itself. It fires after the +Mults, so put it to the right to get the most from it.
Poker hands
The best hand you hold is the one played. Each starts from these values.

Building your deck
The cards are fixed. Every game uses a standard 52-card deck, and both sides get the same shuffle, so luck is shared.
Pick up to 5 Jokers on a $20 budget. The shelf is randomized every cycle: only 36 of the 73 Jokers are on sale, and prices shift by a few dollars each time. A lineup that was legal last cycle may need rebuilding.
Choose a play plan. It decides when your deck discards and which hand it chases. It never changes the rule that the best hand it holds is the one played.
One deck per team. Teammates share it, the last save wins, and there is a 30-second pause between saves. Use Practice on the Battles page to test it against the bots first.
Press Join the ladder each cycle. Entry lasts one cycle, because the shelf and prices change underneath you.
How a cycle works
A new cycle runs every 5 minutes. A cycle needs at least two teams that joined it; otherwise it is skipped.
Who you play: with up to 41 teams, everyone plays everyone. With more, each team plays about 40 opponents: half the teams closest to it in rating and half drawn at random.
A match is best of three games. A game is 4 plays and 3 discards from an 8-card hand, and the higher total wins.
Deals are secret and drawn fresh each cycle, so nobody can tune a deck to a known shuffle.
Blind Rounds
Every 3rd cycle is a Blind Round. Your play plan is ignored: the server draws one play plan at random and every team plays it. You are not told which one. Your Jokers still count, so build a lineup that works with any plan. The shelf and prices are randomized as usual and the budget is still $20.
Score and ranking
You see a score from 0 to 500. Everyone starts at 0 and it climbs as you win and as the system becomes sure of your results.
A team marked calibrating has not played enough for its score to settle.
Sitting out costs you. Skip a cycle and you are fine; skip more and your score falls every cycle you are away, and it falls quickly. A team on 500 that walks away is under 400 within a couple of hours. Play again and your results win it back. You cannot bank a lead and leave.
